She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Greater Corinthian Church of Christ under the Pastorate of Rev. Raymond Davis, Jr. and was a member of the Mass Choir. She had a beautiful and pure voice, loved to sing and began singing at an early age.
Vickie was a graduate Lincoln High School in 1976. She was a Majorette in school who loved to dance. She performed at Football and Basketball games. She was very athletic and was a member of the Lincoln Track Team where she won multiple medals. She also went on to college after High School.
Her employment began with Kansas City Royals and KC Chiefs Stadiums, later going to Crown Center she was employed as a Housekeeper. After working for others, she started her own cleaning service. She loved cleaning whether it was for people or just family she made sure it got done right.
Vickie was amazing, to all her knew her would say she had a bubbly personality, outspoken and was not afraid to tell you how she felt. She was the life of the party and always wanted to have a mic in her hand. She wanted everyone in her presence to be happy and would make sure of it. She always had something good to say to you. And her favorite saying: “You Look Good Doing” will be missed being heard. She would always let you know “You Need to Do What You Said”.
Vickie later settled down with the love of her life, Myron Sallard. He played such a major part in her life. They loved music and cooking. Always having family barbeques and karaoke nights. If you didn’t get to taste Vickie’s barbeque or her food you truly missed it. Myron will truly miss his “Lady V”.
