Anita LaVonne Kane (Nita) was born April 20, 1965 to Lillie Oletha Kane and William T. Bishop Sr. She attended Kansas City Kansas Public Schools. She was preceded in death by her parents, her granddaughter Alexis Kane and two brothers; William T. Bishop Jr (Tedabone) and Eric Irvin (Wally D).
Anita was full of love and joy! Whenever she entered a room, you knew she was there because if you did not, she would make sure that you acknowledged her! Nita was very big on respect and manners. She instilled this in her children and grandchildren. She enforced the importance of being respectful every chance that she could. Nita loved children and had a passion for swimming. When she could take the kids swimming with her, she felt like it was the best of both worlds. She loved the water rather it was a swimming pool or bathtub. It was most certainly her favorite form of entertainment and fun for herself and her beloved babies. She was all about unity and family. She wanted everyone to be close enough to feel the others heartbeat. You could count on Anita for anything and know that she would be there with a million questions alongside her million dollar smile and contagious laugh. Not a single day passed without her talking about her children and grandchildren, simply her most prized possessions. Nita let everyone know about her one and only son and beautiful daughters. To know her was to love her. She had a heart of gold and was well respected. She will be truly missed by all that she crossed paths with on this side of heaven.
Anita leaves to mourn in her passing her three children; LaShonda Kane, Shanaya Kane and William “Brother” Kane (LaShea), 10 grandchildren; SaMiyah “Maw Maw” Dunlap, Amare “Boy” Kane, Serenity “Selena” Kane, Amir “George” Kane, Mon’Toreon “Leroy” Kane, Aniyah “NyNy” Jones, Alaysia “Lillie” Jones, Kenadie “Tinker Bell” Kane, Jayce “Luscious” Kane , brothers; Gary Dean Bishop, John “Sobby” Kane III, Anthony Kane, Kenneth Kane, sisters; Shirley Wainwright, Diane Kane, Linda Kane, Charity White, Angela Kane, Debra Kane and a host of relatives and friends whom she loved dearly. Family was her everything!
