Mr. John Q. Grandberry

John Quincy Grandberry was born December 16, 1971 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Mr. John Henry and Mrs. Ermia Jean Grandberry. He was preceded in death by his son, Jordan Coburn; maternal grandparents, Mr. Eunie and Mrs. Helen Johnson; and paternal grandparents, Mr. James and Mrs. Ola B. Grandberry.
He was affectionately known as Lil’ John, Jon Jon and John G. He loved his cars, clothes & tennis shoes, dressing nice, music, sports, taking pics and his apartment. John grew up in church and loved playing the drums.
He attended schools in the Kansas City, MO School District. John worked at various jobs including volunteer service at ReDiscover, Lee’s Summit, MO. He loved his family – mother, dad, sisters, children & grandchildren, nieces & nephews, aunts & uncles and cousins. John loved everyone and was respectful to his elders. For Christmas, he was going to buy you something. He would ask, ‘You got 2-5 dollars or 5-10 dollars?’ John would always pay back.
On Wednesday, February 17, 2021, John was carried by the angel of God into the bosom of Jesus Christ.
He leaves to cherish his memories: parents,Ermia J. Grandberry, John H. Grandberry (fiance, Gina), daughter, Jasmine Coburn; big sisters, Phyllis Grandberry and Renee Taylor (Michael); nieces, Kierra Rolf (David) and Milisa Taylor; nephew, Michael Ford II, all of Kansas City, MO; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and special friend, David, that will miss him truly.
