Earnest was born November 15, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri to Nevada Byers-Isom and Earnest Clark Sr.

Earnest grew up in Kansas City and attended Central High School. He married the love of his life, Mary Louise Morris in 1961 which they remained happily in love for 51 years until her death.

Earnest started his career at General Motors before joining Kansas City Parks and Recreation as a equipment operator, union representative and retired after 25 years of service as a area superintendent. Post retirement, he worked at the Black Archives of Kansas City and Swope Parkway Health Center.

Earnest had a love for fine cars and jewelry. There was never a day he wasn’t dressed in his diamonds, gold, fur coats, hat and driving a nice new shiny car. He was well known around Kansas City by many. He never met a stranger and never lost an argument. Earnest was always up for a good disagreement because he knew he would win. He loved fishing, hunting & traveling with family and friends and loved playing cards with his favorite cousin Walt. Earnest will forever be a loving memory in our hearts and he will be missed dearly by family and friends.
