Alphonso Alonzo Ware Jr. was born January 1st, 1933 in Anniston, Alabama. He departed this life on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the oldest child of his parents Alphonso Ware Sr. and Pearl James. To this union four children were born; Alphonso Ware Jr., Vivian Long, Nancy George-Ware, and Samuel Ware.
Alphonso Ware Jr. was educated in the public-school system in Anniston, Alabama. After high school Alphonso enlisted into the United States Army where he served as a private from April 9th 1951 to March 31st 1953 and was honorably discharged. Alphonso earned 2 bronze stars, served on the frontline as a Purple Heart recipient. He was a proud member of the 24th Inf, Buffalo Soldiers, serving in the Korean conflict.
After serving years in the United States Army he moved to Kansas City, Missouri where he worked at General Service Administration (GSA) and retired after 54 years with the company.
Alphonso Ware Jr was proceeded in death by his parents Alphonso Ware Sr. and Pearl James; Vivian Long and Nancy George-Ware, (sisters); Samuel Ware (brother); Alpha-Marie Ware (daughter).
Alphonso Ware Jr. Love listening to the tunes of the Blues, watching sports programs (Chiefs Fan), traveling and especially spending time with family. He enjoyed playing cards games and if you knew him you know that he loved to have a good time. He will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to cross his path.
He leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters Sharon Ware (Kansas City, MO), Nanette Relerford (Thurman) of Oklahoma City, OK.,; Grandchildren: Anthony Ware (Tyiesha) of Kansas City, MO, Camille Ware of Atlanta, GA, Thurman Relerford II and QuaNetta Broom (Emmanuel) of Oklahoma City, OK.; Great grandchildren Sharrod Ware and Bryan McDonald of Kansas City, MO, Lathan Broom of Oklahoma City, OK, Kierre Ware of Dallas, Texas;. Great Great Grandchildren Kameron Williamson of Dallas, Texas, Twins Syrian and Serenity McDonald Kansas City, MO and bestfriend Vernon Mccauley of Kansas City, MO.
