Obituary for Mr. HIRAM HIGSBY SANDERS, JR. Hiram Sanders pic1

November 29, 1972
to
June 11, 2022

Hiram was born to Hiram H. Sanders, Sr. and Francine Clayton on November 29, 1972
in Kansas City, Kansas.
Hiram attended school in Wyandotte County and matriculated through the Kansas City
Kansas Public School System. Upon leaving school, Hiram started working with and for
his uncle, Rev. Joseph Weatherspoon as a mechanic, where he learned to repair
automobiles and other mechanical and electronic vehicles.
Hiram, being a free-spirit, left Kansas and relocated to Denver, Colorado in 1994.
Hiram eventually returned to Kansas City where he met and married Maria Lachica.
Hiram and Maria were united in holy matrimony on August 23, 2015, at The Greater
Revelations Church, where they later became members until they relocated to Topeka,
Kansas. Although the two separated, they remained close and stayed in contact with
one another, one helping the other however needed.
Although Hiram worked as a day laborer during the day, he worked at home in the
evenings, in order to fulfill his dream of being an entrepreneur. He would spend
countless hours repairing motorcycles, mo-peds, and bicycles helping to perfect his
craft and expand his business. Unfortunately, his goal would not be manifested in this
life. In June of 2022, The Lord God would visit Hiram and tell him, “No more cars or
bikes, my son, take these wings and follow me.”
Hiram is preceded in death by his father, Hiram Sanders, Sr., his brother Michael L.
Ward, and his step-father, Samuel Lee Ward was instrumental in his upbringing. Left to
mourn his earthly departure is his wife, Maria Lachica of Topeka, Ks., his mother,
Francine Ward of KCK; 5 children-Cresha Sanders and De’Anthony Reece of Kansas
City, Mo., Jonte’ Conley of Leavenworth, Kansas., Hiram Sanders of Dallas, Texas., and
Racheletta McBride of Kansas City,Kansas; 6 siblings- Kennon Ward and Maurice
Daniels of KCK, Regina Brown Jackson of Leavenworth, Ks, and Jermaine Mitchell of
the Dominican Republic, Caprice and Damon Sanders both of KCMO. Hiram also
leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
