Luther Johnson and Almeadie Murphy gave birth to Timothy L. Johnson, on September 7th,1948 in Gilmer, Texas. Timothy spent his time playing basketball and football with the kids in his neighborhood as a child. Years later after moving to Kansas City, MO with their mother Almeadie, oldest brother John Edward Johnson and oldest sister Mae Bonnie Rucker, in 1951 they established a home on East 36th St and there laid a foundation for generations to come. In 1969 Cedric Young, the first and oldest son was born. Timothy then later went to serve his Country in Vietnam. While serving his duty, Lisa Bowles, the oldest daughter and second child, was born in 1969. Later in 1972 his third child Timothy L. Johnson Jr. was born. Following after, in 1986 Ashley Johnson the youngest daughter was born. The following year, in 1992 Justin Smith the youngest son was born in Houston, TX. After coming back home from Vietnam, Timothy enjoyed his time playing football and softball with the Kansas City league the Dirty Dozen's as a young adult. As years went on Timothy experienced a joyful life of being a grandfather, great grandfather and a host of nieces and nephews. Tim was a master on the grill, who loved to listen to Jazz, The O* Jays, Earth and wind and Fire, The Isley Brothers, 70's soul and Marvin Gaye. Either if you were family or a friend of the family you were always welcomed to the barbecues on East 36th St. That house held many, with centuries of history. Timothy was loved by many, whether it was because of his upbeat personality or his contagious smile. Timothy was a comforter who was stern in his words and warm with his hugs. Timothy was a father, brother, grandparent, uncle, friend and companion, who will be remembered forever in our hearts**. Timothy Sr preceded the death of his first-born son Cedric in 1991.Timothy then preceded the death of his mother and oldest brother in 2003.
