Obituary for Mr. Austin D. Golden

Austin Golden, was born August 31, 1949 in Darling, Mississippi to Ozell and Lillian Golden. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ozell Jr., Clifton, Ernest and sons Terry Williams and Antonio Golden.

Austin, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri.

He grew up in Darling where he attended Falcon Elementary and Graduated from Quitman County High School class of "68" were he was outstanding in Track and Field. He was one of the best dressed in school. After he left Mississippi in 1968 he moved to Kansas City, and was employed by Armco Steel, he moved on for better opportunities at Quality Mail until 1982, he then moved onto Kohler Construction until early retirement 2000.

He met Clarice Williams in 1982, he seen her at her nephews party he seen her coming down the steps, he said you are the one, so he got her and they where married in 2008, he wrote her a poem.

Austin confessed his life to Christ at the age of Eight years old at little Zion Church in Mississippi the pastor was Rev. RH Hurd.

Austin is survived by his wife Clarice Williams Golden; his children Andra Golden, Adrin Rome, Deana Jackson, Deana Jackson, Donny Williams, Montine Hillmon, Charles R. William, Shannon Jackson; two brothers Rance Golden(Nina) and Anthony Golden(Maranda); two sisters Vivian Pleas(Thomas) and Virginia Williams(Howard), a host of grand children, great grand children, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
